I'm a filmmaker. 

What does that mean to me?

It means doing something different. It means learning how to write, to direct, to light, to do my own sound, and to edit.

It means learning how to do VFX on my own. 

It means learning dozens of software tools and how to market myself because nobody else is going to do it for me.

It means sometimes getting weird looks from people. It means being broke a lot of the time. 

It means feeling like I don't have a lot in common with most people that I meet.

It means having something for my kids to remember long after I'm gone from this world and believing in myself and what I'm doing despite the past.

It means creating something from nothing and never having nothing to do. 

It means doing life my way and trying not to give a f*ck what others think but still hoping they like the strange sh*t I make.

It means lots of hard work and more failures than successes.

It means never giving up. Never stopping. Because I love it and it's who I am.
