Sean Foy is an author and award-winning filmmaker whose stories regularly delve into themes of resilience, self-determination, human connection, and the complexities of family—often exploring the dark corners of the mind. His debut psychological thriller novel, The Grotesque, was long-listed (top 2%) for the Cheshire Novel Prize and draws inspiration from writers such as Gillian Flynn and Chuck Palahniuk, films such as Black Swan and Radio Flyer, and the music of Nine Inch Nails. It's a novel that examines guilt, obsession, and the fragile boundaries between love and trauma. His storytelling is as much about grappling with life's darkness as it is about embracing its profound, messy beauty.

His films, which span the sci-fi, horror, and comedy genres, feature elements of suspense, moral conflict, and often, just plain fun. Having made his first feature film at age 29, he continues to create short films, often with his family, and is looking to create his next feature in the near future.

Born in Defiance, Ohio, Sean was raised primarily in Pennsylvania and lived in a total of seven states before settling in Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters. After three decades of pursuing his dreams in both writing and filmmaking, Foy continues to create what he loves, on his own terms.
